Climate Change is the most important issue facing our species and will require global cooperation to address.  In addition to policy actions to reduce our carbon emissions, we believe it is essential to increase awareness of Climate Change as an urgent issue. 

World Wildlife Day, International Day of Forests, World Water Day, and World Meteorological Day are all celebrated by the United Nations during March. As a warming climate will be destructive to Earth’s wildlife, forests, water, and weather, we believe March is the perfect month to be dedicated to Climate Change Awareness. 

This month should be used to elevate activists, educators, and crucial conversations centered around climate change and ultimately build solidarity around the need for immediate action. 

Recognizing Climate Change Awareness Month as an official observance is one way we can focus our conversation around this important topic and call upon people in leadership positions to take the actions necessary to avoid the worst-case climate scenarios.
