Every day, local animal shelters use the kindness of their hearts to take in abandoned, tattered animals that are left without a home and give them a new life. They use their personal bank accounts to purchase the items necessary to keep these animals from dying on the streets and to give them a loving, temporary home. Right now, almost all local animal shelters are providing for animals based solely on donations from other kind hearts within their communities, and they struggle to house the number of animals that they find homeless throughout the streets. As animal shelters bring in animals, shelter helpers are forced to euthanize (kill) many more because of the lack of money and items needed to care for and protect them. This means that death is better for these animals than living in such poor conditions. We can't keep animals in places like these. 

By bringing awareness to this problem, we can allow more animals to be saved within safe and comfortable shelter facilities, and to raise adoption rates to protect not always wanted animals from dying. If this doesn't stop, more animals will be killed than adopted as the years progress, so if you don't want to adopt but want to save animals from being killed and malnourished, help our cause by signing this petition to force local governments to fund or donate large amounts of money to local animal shelters.
