MAKE LIPA CITY, BATANGAS CLEANER FOR A BETTER LIFE.

To: Fellow Lipeños and the Local Government of Lipa

From: Cyrus M Suarez & Johnrico M Sta Maria

Date: November 5, 2024

(Petition for a cleaner community)

Lipa, a thriving city in Batangas, Philippines, home to over 300,000 residents and a hub of economic growth. However beneath it's vibrant facade, it is facing a major concern; improper waste management. Generating around 167 kilos of waste in Lipa everyday, we are at risk of harming our environment, health, and the economy.

This problem is layered with various other components, manifested as garbage scattered everywhere, clogged drainage systems, and devastating floods.

Improper waste management poses significant risks, leading to pollution, contamination, and direct exposure to hazardous materials, which can result in severe health consequences.

Things you can do :

Segregation

- Seperate the biodegradable wastes from the non-biodegradable, as well as the recyclables.

Donating

Donate recyclable wastes to nearby recycling facilities or donating cash to us and we will redirect it to the local government for the purpose of establishing more recycling facilities and clean up projects.

"Tapat mo, linis mo".

Don't turn a blind eye on trash. Once you see it, its yours. Clean it.

As intelligent living beings, we have a responsibility to maintain our environment. Therefore, we ask for your full cooperation to take action.

This petition will not only benefit us, but also the next generations against upcoming challenges.

"A CLEAN community is a HEALTHY community, and a HEALTHY community is a SAFE community."
