There is only one dining hall at the University of Guelph that serves limited Kosher food. The food is more expensive than non-Kosher options and there are very few options. If a student wants a hot meal, they must call an hour in advance to get one.

In contrast, there is a wide variety of Halal foods at most, if not all, dining locations on campus that are easily accessible. There are even Halal meals that are hot and ready at most of these locations. If the dietary needs of UofG's Muslim community can be accommodated for, then there is no reason why UofG's Jewish community can be accommodated for too.

It is crucial that Jewish people at the University of Guelph have a variety of widely available, accessible Kosher meal options every day.
