My daughter has lost two family cats whom three kids adored due to manic driving too fast on a road that says 20 plenty. It's heartbreaking to see our beloved pets suffer and die because drivers don't stop or report when they hit an animal. Cats are often considered part of the family, and their loss can be devastating.

Currently, there is no legal obligation for drivers to stop or report if they hit a cat with their car, unlike dogs. This needs to change. By making it compulsory for drivers to stop and report hitting a cat, we can ensure that injured animals receive the necessary medical attention promptly and reduce the number of hit-and-run incidents involving pets.
