It has been my understanding that if a dog is hit by a car etc they have to legally stop. So why is it OK to run over or hit someone's beloved cat and carry on driving.  This happened to my cat last Friday. Fortunately a kind van driver who witnessed the car speeding started knocking on doors to find the owner. A cat is just as much loved as a dog, often relied on for company. There's a huge void in my life without him. He was only 10 months old. I uploaded my story onto fb and was amazed at the hundreds of responses. Many of which had suffered the same experience.  Its about time people took responsibility for this, we're an animal loving nation. It's not a lot to ask surely. If you sign please share aswell.
