To protect our identity, I won't specify gender. The two kids have a good for nothing dad. He doesn't hold constant jobs. He gambles all night quite often. He has no patience for his kids. Instead of teaching his kids why you can't do certain things. He slaps them when they do something wrong. The kids are 11 and 7. The 11 year old has been hit since he/she was 7 years old (I suspect earlier as kids don't always know that their parents can't hit them). The 7 year old was dragged down the stairs very violently because his/her dad had to wait for 5 minutes for his/her (7 year old) reply. The 7 year old has a mental disability.
