Make it illegal for clothing retailers to sell blue, white or grey swimwear for children

Make it illegal for clothing retailers to sell blue, white or grey swimwear for children
The Issue
On the Beach, the package holiday company, is calling on the UK Government to urgently review retailers being able to sell blue, white and grey swimwear to children aged between 0 – 16 years old.
Blue, white or grey swimwear is extremely difficult to see underwater, in some cases, it’s impossible to see.
According to research by On the Beach, 66% of children own swimwear in these colours, unnecessarily putting their lives in danger.
Colour experts have analysed testing and have confirmed that these colours of swimwear are dangerous, as they cannot be seen underwater, meaning that if a child was drowning, lifeguards would be unable to locate them.
Rebecca Adlington, four-time Olympic medallist and former lifeguard Paddy McGuinness are backing On the Beach’s call for change, and we want you to join them.
It is vital that the Government takes action now so that children can been seen at all times in the water. Lives are at stake.
Please help us end putting children’s lives in unnecessary danger and sign this petition for change.
