Today across the UK Restaurants and supermarkets are selling and serving meat and meat dishes to customers who are not aware that the meat provided is halal. 

I believe that it should be law that the customer should be informed if the meat served has been slaughtered by halal methods. 

Halal is deemed as a slaughter in line with religious beliefs and not therefore in line with general slaughter methods. 

 It should therefore be law that it is highlighted in all food service and retail outlets so that consumers are informed and have the right of choice.  

Currently the public is not informed and is not allowed to make a choice.
