Not all media is irresponsible and insensitive towards dogs, dog owners and caregivers in India. India today a weekly news magazine and most widely circulated magazine in India became instrumental in getting a notice issued by the Greater Noida Authority to the Apartment Owners body of ATS Paradiso a housing society in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The notice was to stop the Apartkent owners body from harassing the dog owners. After few cases of dog bites in the housing complex the AOA had started imposing illegal fines on dog owners. RWA and the AOA are the main culprits who are mainly responsible for so much dog man conflict. . Many consider themselves above law and make their own set of illegal rules to harass the dogs, Dog owners and caregiverer living in their vicinity.
In another incident Kamal a resident of Narina Vihar, New Delhi is being mentally tortured for feeding stray dogs and cats of his colony of which one of them is handicapped. Kamal has an ailing child and wife yet he has not given up feeding the animals. But the poor helpless man is being tortured by the RWA. They have not even spared his daily. The RWA has now filed a case against him. Kamal is absolutely heartbroken and is seeking help. For details kindly go on the link below:

In another incident an NRI lady Umah Devi (M- +919840323817) from Malaysia and presently living in India, (Faridabad, Haryana) on medical visa has a harrowing tale to tell. The RWA of Piyush housing society has mentally tortured and harassed her. She used to feed 16 dogs who used to live in her apartment for 6 years but this year while she was away to Malaysia the RWA got five of the dogs relocated. They also stopped the feeder whom she had hired to feed in her absence from entering the apartment and feed the dogs. As soon as she heard about the 5 dogs missing she flew to India. She filed a complaint against the RWA but the police didn't take any action. The CCTV footage too was never made available bybthe RWA to the AWBI whom.she had approached for help. The RWA didn't stop there. They pressurized the owner of the flat where Unah lived to get the flat vacated. So Umah had to finally leave the apartment last week. She is very sick and due to all these sad episodes she couldn't get herself treated for which she had come to India. On Friday when she went to meet her friends in the apartment Umah was not allowed by the guards to enter the apartment. But the brave lady forced her self in. According to Umah the RWA has stopped the feeding of the remaining nine dogs. They want the dogs to die of starvation. Umah feels helpless and shattered.
There should a very strict law which not only debars such RWA members from contesting any kind of election but also gives them imprisonment.
The RWAs are becoming human demons in metropolitan cities. They are openly fflouting laws and coming out with their own illegal rules. They do what suits them and discard what doesn't They think the colony / society is there property and they can do what they like.
This needs to stop.
