Cruelty against dogs is just not stopping in the capital of India. The dogs are being killed and relocated and the authorities have failed to do anything about it.

People of Delhi have their own self style ABC program running. They are controlling the stray dog population by relocating them and killing them. Sterilization is also a way to control stray dog population is not known to them and killing dogs or relocating them is an offence is greek and latin to them. Unfortunately the MCD is doing nothing about it.

On 26th January 2022 while India was celebrating its republic day a mother dog and one of her pups got killed in Mayur Vihar Phase 3.  Five of her pups are still alive who are barely 50 days old. The caregiver (M-9536252791) is very scared for their life as she fears that the people will kill them too. She is now looking for a home for them and trying a safe place where she can put them. The caregiver approached Gaurav (M-+917838968443) an animal rights activist for keeping the dogs at his place (Pic in the post).

A dog was put in a sack and dumped at an unknown place in Sudarshan Park, Moti Nagar, New Delhi. The caregiver made a complaint against the culprit at the police station. First the police was taking no action but after the PFA Founder and Member of Parliament Maneka Gandhi intervened the police showed some cooperation but later their attitude again became insensitive and indifferent. The caregiver feels that the dog is no more and is probably dead. Either the culprit has killed the dog or relocated him. But in both the cases he has violated rules. And the police has done nothing. Altnough this petition is for dogs but to show the apathy of the corporations and our Govt machinery  pan India I couldn't stop myself from sharing the following incidents:

1 The Greater Chennai Corporation in Tamil Nadu is impounding all the cows from the streets and sending them to Blue Cross. According to the reporter the Blue Cross and the Corporation neither have the space nor proper infrastructure to keep all the cows then why are they picking them.up that too in such a cruel fashion? A pregnant cow was caught and forced to climb on a tempo which was 4 feet high. As a result the cow fell down and hurt her udder. She was profusely bleeding. Kindly go on the link below and see for yourself the plight of the cow:

What kind of clean and modern India are we making? Shame on all those who are responsible for the plight of these voiceless animals.

2 Cows were found dead in Chattatpur, Madhya Pradesh. Kindly go on the link below to see the video:

3 The dead bodies of blue cow, cows and bulls was found near Surajkund in Faridabad, Haryana. It is being told that they have been hunted and killed for their body parts. Anyway whatever is the reason for their death but this is no way a life should be sacrificed in such a cruel manner. That too in a country where cow is considered a mother.

Our cities may look clean and modern without the street animals but their blood, pain and screams will always haunt our streets. A pandemic worse than covid is not far away which will engulf us all. India's ruthless Corporation and animal sector officials are responsible for bringing curse on our country. The holy land of India which we proudly call  Bharat Mata must be crying because she is the mother to all living beings.

Well the Govt should either stop all this cruelty or euthanize all the street animals with least pain. They are Anyway dying each day due to human cruelty. So why give them a slow death.

Dumping cows or dogs in shelters is no solution at all. They will eventually die of starvation and sickness. India has neither the space nor financial resources to sustain animal shelters that too for healthy animals. The government  can do a great favour by using the meagre resources it has for animals by opening up hospitals for them and ABC centres for dog sterilization. For example the Dhyan Foundation Animal Shelter & Hospital in Noida, Uttar Pradesh (formerly called SPCA Noida) is doing a great job. They are running ABC centre and also catering to all kinds of sick and injured animals. The land of the hospital belongs to the Government but the management of the hospital has been entrusted to the Dhyan Foundation.

We need such hospitals for street animals in all the cities and town of India. So that the dogs may get sterilized and vaccinated and the injured and sick may get medical assistance. And more importantly right and compassionate people run the hospitals.

All we need is right policies for street animals and their practical implementation pan India. Unfortunately the policies made for cows is far from being practically implementable and for dogs the ABC program exists but it's implementation is faulty. In many parts of India its not even being implemented.

Well entrusting street animals in the hands of the municipal corporation was the biggest mistake made by our policy makers. This needs to be rectified.
