Again a barbaric case of dog cruelty has been reported from Kerala, the God's own country.

This time the heinous crime was committed inside a temple premises. Someone poured petrol on the dog and set him on fire (pic in the post). There were ten dogs living in the temple premises out of which now only two are there. Rest all are missing.

Just what kind of a temple and temple management is this where mute and helpless animals are killed that too in such a torturous manner? These are not temples where God reside. These are butcher houses where only devils reside. With each passing day Kerala is becoming Devils own country.

Two baby monkeys who were rescued about a year back by Rahul Singla and his wife were snatched away by the wildlife dept of Karnal, Haryana. Monkeys come under wild animals and ideally they should be living in the forest far away from residential colonies. Very rarely monkeys are kept as pets but a few people in India have been keeping them as pets. Lord Hanuman who was a monkey is worshipped in almost every part of India. Many Hanuman temples have monkeys living in the temple vicinity. And devotees who visit these temples often give them bananas and fruits to eat. Due to rapid urbanization and deforestation monkeys can now be found in residential colonies and Delhi the capital of India is not an exception. The security guards and residents often shoo them away with sticks, stones slingshots (gulel). They are neither worshipped nor loved. Majority hate them and want them to be thrown in jungles.

The two monkeys who were rescued by Rahul when they were babies, were mercilessly snatched away by the wildlife dept and dumped God knows where. The monkeys were raised and nurtured by the family. These monkeys were neither wild nor ever lived in the wild. They were pets of the family. They had never attacked anybody nor bitten anyone. The wildlife dept it seems has played the role of a villain.

The wildlife people should know that rules are there to help animals and not to harass them and torture them. And in this case they used law to torture monkeys and God forbid shall become the reason for their untimely and cruel death.

Rahul's monkeys were very friendly and used to easily come in the arms of the family members but the wildlife people decided to pick the monkeys themselves which must have been uite tormentimg for the monkeys. It seems these people are in urgent need for a training in compassion towards animals. The heartless people could have requested Rahul to accompany them to release the monkeys in the jungle but instead they chose to take the monkeys themselves in containers. The most painful part is that the monkeys have been released and Rahul has no idea where they are. He and his family have been looking for the monkeys and the wildlife dept is not ready to tell them where the monkeys are. Rahul fears for their life. He and his wife raised the two monkeys as their children. And they feel that the monkeys may not survive by themselves. They were domesticated animals and not wild animals.

How can the wildlife dept be so negligent? Did they put any tracking device on the two monkeys just to ensure their safety? Have they tried to observe if the monkeys are not being attacked by other animals and if they have adjusted well in the new environment which is obviously quite harsh. Shouldn't they have observed the monkeys once they were released in the forest?

Even a lay man can tell that an animal who has lived as a pet with all the comforts and love cannot fend for himself in the wild. How can the wildlife dept act in such a cruel and insane manner?

Rahul and his family have been looking for the monkeys for last several days but no sign of them. And the wildlife dept is neither helping them trace back the monkey nor telling them where exactly they left the monkeys. Update on the two monkeys on 27th Aug 2021

The monkeys have still not been found. Rahul and his wife are going on a regular basis in search for his babies. The wildlife dept has shared a video with them which shows the two monkeys being released.

In Pune, Maharashtra a man tried to kill a stray dog with a pistol but before he could do that caregiver a bold lady raised an alarm. Just imagine if the lady was not there then what would have happened to the poor soul?

A video has gone viral where a cat owner is seen torturing a cat. And he has the audacity to say that it's my cat and if need be I can even kill her. This is a case of Mumbai, Maharashtra

Wish our wildlife dept and municipal corporations could teach people compassion towards animals. But it seems these officials first need to have a course of compassion themselves.

If the govt machinery which has been placed for the welfare of animals is so cruel and apathetic then what can be expected from the common man of India
