It seems people in India are enjoying to abuse and kill mute animals.

A dog was beaten to death with a rod in Jodhpur. The police has taken no action against the culprit.

A cow was seen walking on the streets of Delhi with her mouth tied with an iron chain which had nails on its edges (pic in the post). Just imagine how disgusting the person must be who has tied her like this. Cow is the most revered animal in India. She is the most tolerant and non harming animal. She neither bites nor barks. But even she is not spared.

Just see how a lady is beating the cows who are sitting peacefully without doing any harm to we humans.

Another horrible incident has come to light where cows have died of hunger and thirst in a cow shelter in Delhi. According to the reporters crores of rupees come to this shelter in the form of donations and govt funds but just see where is all that money going. Probably going in the pockets of corrupt officials. Apparently the Delhi municipal corporation officials  have been visiting this shelter on a regular basis for inspection and everytime they have visited they have given a satisfactory report. On what basis did they find this shelter satisfactory only God knows.

This is a case of a cow shelter in Kaisarganj in Uttar Pradesh. This is one state which has openly favoured cow shelters and most of the cows have been put in the shelters. The govt has generously infused crores of rupees in these shelters. God knows what was their motive. To make the streets of Uttar Pradesh free from cows or to give them a quality life? Their intentions may have been good but the results are horrible.  Anyway just watch the quality of life these cows are having in such shelters.

Let's hope our policy makers will realise that putting healthy cows or any street animal like dog or cat in shelters is not the right thing to do. Either there will be shortage of money to run such shelters (not financially sustainable) or if money is given then the corrupt people will not let the money be used for the animals as has been done in the above two cases. If the animal rights activists had not forced their entry into these shelters then God knows how many more cows would die a silent death. These cows were better off roaming on the streets than dying such horrible death in the shelters. God knows what kind of smart cities are we making in India. They look more like cruel cities.

Imagine if this is the condition of a cow shelter then one can well imagine what will happen to dogs in a dog shelter? If cows who are considered mother and  worshipped and revered by majority of the Indians, if she can be dying such a terrible death then what will happen to dogs who are already hated by the majority of Indians?

Lets hope our govt and policy makers realize that shelters should only be for the sick, injured and disabled animals. Healthy animals whether it be cattles or dogs should never be put in shelters that too ones which are run and monitored by the municipal corporations.

The only way to make the lives of these voiceless animals better is by making stricter laws so that no one dares to beat them or kill them. The owners of cows and buffaloes too should be penalised for letting their cattles roam freely on roads. They should be punished for abandoning them as well. The owners often abandon a  bull (male calf) soon after its born or send it to a slaughter house. And once the cow gets old she meets the same fate. Such selfish owners should be punished. Also this never ending dog cruelty has to stop. And this won't stop till our laws become stronger.
