A pet dog was beaten up by his owner in Lakshmi Nagar, East Delhi. Luckily a neighbour captured the cruelty in his camera and made the incident viral. The neighbour not only captured the unfortunate incident but also asked the owner not to beat the dog but the owner didn't listen to him and kept saying that I will beat the dog. Apparently a police complaint was made against the man and he was taken to the police station where he has been given warning. The police left him after he promised that he will never beat the dog again. To watch the cruelty video kindly go on the link below:

Ideally we Indians don't deserve dogs in our country. As owners we consider them as a commodity and like to flaunt them because most of them buy pedigree breed from dog breeders for money. So more expensive the dog, ones social status rises. Hence it is not the love for dog but for social status that Indians become pet owners. If the pets are living in such disgusting and cruel environment then what can be said about street dogs of India??????

Many of the street dogs become victim of rash driving. Many times people deliberately hit the dogs. They get some kind of sadistic pleasure doing it and for some running over a dog is  their birth right. They have no guilt and no sorrow. This form of cruelty is quite rampant in India. Almost daily hundreds of street dogs die a painful death on the streets of India. Their dead body is run over by hundreds of vehicles smashing the body over and over again.....

A small puppy was hit by a vehicle in Igatpuri in Maharashtra. After being hit he went in hiding. The rescuers tried 13 times to find the puppy but failed. It was the 14th time that the puppy could be found. He was rescued by the PFA (People for Animals), Mumbai Unit.  He is currently fine and is healing. To watch the puppy kindly go on the link below:

The Indian dog lives a life of misery and dies a death of misery. This is the same country where people worship Lord Bhairav a fierce form of Lord Shiva, whose companion is a dog. In Bhairav temples dogs roam freely without any fear both inside and outside the temple vicinity and the devotees feed the dogs with a lot of love and devotion.  They consider the dogs residing in Bhairav temples as sacred.

But what about the dogs outside Bhairav temples? Aren't they dear to Lord Bhairav????

Aren't they sacred?

We Indians should either stop visiting such temples or if we do then we should practice the virtues which these temples symbolise.
