A resident of Kalkaji DDA flats in South Delhi was seen hitting dogs playing in the park. When the caregiver tried to object he tried to hit him too. This is the kind of tolerance people have towards dogs in India. No law in India stops stray dogs or pet dogs from entering public parks but just see how dog haters have made their own laws and stopping dogs from entering the parks. Don't know if the park in the above has been handed over to the Kalkaji RWA but It's time the MCD takes back the possession of all public parks in Delhi. Ever since the parks have been handed over to the RWAs the residents have become quite intolerant towards dogs.
Noorie the unfortunate dog who had the most traumatic experience of her life in the city of Mumbai is getting better. The accused has been arrested by the Mumbai police and produced before the court for custody. The Bombay Animal Rights who are the legal custodians of Noorie are doing everything possible to bring justice to this innocent soul. She is being treated by World for All NGO. And they are hopeful that once Noorie recovers she will get a loving home. Four families have already volunteered to adopt Noorie. For more details about the case kindly go on the link below:

Why does our legal system start working only after a crime has been committed?
Why do we volunteer to adopt a stray dog only after it has gone through a hellish experience?
Don't dogs like Noorie deserve a home? shouldn't our legal system be strong enough to protect Noorie from being assaulted in such a barbaric manner?
When will that day come ??????
Anyway it seems the day is not too far. The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying has tweeted about the Indian breed dogs on 26th October 2020. There were in all 11 tweets and all related with dogs. One of the tweets said to give home and shelter to street dogs and to volunteer in animal welfare NGO (pic in the post). This is indeed a remarkable beginning. The Ministry at last has started speaking for the man's best friend. Let's hope the compassion and concern shown by the ministry will soon be felt in the Indian society and the negative perception of people towards stray dogs will change into a positive one.
