After the founder of PFA and former Union minister Maneka Gandhi made a public appeal to write an email to the Chief Secretary of Nagaland to ban the illegal trading of dogs and dog market in the state, letters were sent from both India and abroad. She had anticipated around 50,000 letters but to her surprise there were 125000 emails which were sent and the result is right in front of us. That's the Power of the people.

The good news is that in just three days the goal has been achieved.

Now the directions have been given and dog meat and it's trading has been banned in the state but the million dollar question is, will the ban be enforced with full honesty and integrity? That is now up to the administration and the law enforcement bodies to ensure.
