Nothing can be more sorrowful and shameful than what has happened in Porbandar the birth place of Mahatma Gandhi. A man who is the epitome of non violence and peace.

A barbaric man has beaten a puppy (pic in the post) quite mercilessly with a stick right in front of the mother of the pup. One can see how helplessly the mother is running here and there to save her kid. How could a small pup harm any man?

Just fail to understand what goes in the minds of these culprits.

Kindly see the video and decide for yourself.

An FIR has been lodged against the culprit and the body of the pup has been sent for postmortem.

If we see the body of the pup he was extremely malnourished. What has gone wrong with we Indians? We starve the dogs, beat them up, relocate them and even kill them with bats, sticks, rods, poison and air guns.

Year 2019 was the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi the father of our nation.

He said "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress may be judged by the way it's animals are treated"

Why can't we Indians make a pledge to treat all street animals with respect and dignity especially the man's best friend and have zero tolerance to animal cruelty. This will be the biggest tribute to the father of the nation and the best way to celebrate his 151st birth anniversary which will take place on 2nd October 2020.
