A caregiver Urvashi (M - 87507 19644) who has been feeding the stray dogs of pocket B, Mayur Vihar Phase 2 was stopped from feeding the dogs. On 27th June 2020 at 6 AM when she tried to enter the colony the guards stopped her from entering. They told her that the RWA has banned her entry as they don't want her to feed the dogs.

The pocket B RWA, is notorious for harassing caregivers and have been doing that for past several years now. This is not the first time Urvashi was insulted and harassed but this time she prefered to be quiet. No fighting and no shouting back.

But she didn't give up. She wrote an email to PFA (Peope for animals) and they quickly responded. PFA spoke to the president of the RWA and asked him why he stopped the feeder from entering the colony. To that he said that Urvashi puts the dog food on the benches, which is inappropriate so they stopped her from feeding.

Well, according to Urvashi she has never put food on the benches as she carries her own food bowls and always feed the dogs in the bowls..

And if we believe what the RWA president is saying is true then why didn't he confront Urvashi and told this on her face? Why did he ask the guards to ban Urvashi"s entry in the colony? He could have asked the guards to tell this small thing to her. Why didnt he?

Anyway the good thing is that the president told PFA that Urvashi won't be stopped from feeding the dogs and shall be allowed to enter the colony.

Today on 28th June 2020 Urvashi fed the dogs (pic in the post) and nobody said anything to her.

These RWAs and dog haters would have made the life of the caregivers and the dog feeders a hell, had PFA not been there. The PFA founder and former union minister Maneka Gandhi is 24 hours reachable on her phone and email. She and her PFA promptly replies to any complaint made by any caregiver in distress. And they try their best to help them.

Well, in this case Urvashi and her dogs have definitely been helped.
