On the night of 21st June 2020 a 57 year year old man Brij Mohan was stabbed by a knife on his chest by his own neighbour who didn't like dogs and wanted Brij Mohan to stop feeding the dogs. According to the police the dog bit Prahlad the accused in this case. But that is what most of the dog haters say. The police needs to investigate if the man is telling the truth. Brij Mohan was admitted to the hospital and on Tuesday he succumbed to his injuries. Before dying the unfortunate man gave his statement to the police and told them that the person who stabbed him was his neighbour Prahlad. Prahlad it seems hated dogs as they used to bark at him and he held Brij Mohan responsible for that. According to him dogs used to bark at him because Brij Mohan used to feed them. Now how illogical is that but unfortunately majority of the population think just that. They hold the caregivers responsible for dog bites and dog barking. They just dont understand that it is their behaviour towards dogs which is provoking them to bark and bite and it is they who need to change themselves and their attitude towards dogs and not the dogs. Feeding dogs will only make them friendly and not vice versa as is the general perception of people in Delhi and other places in India. Anyhow, after stabbing Prahlad was on a run and on wednesday the Delhi police nabbed him and arrested him. According to Sapna who is one of the family members of Brij Mohan they are being threatened and are being forced to withdraw the case. Now how pathetic and preposterous is that? A man has been killed and the culprit's family has the audacity to ask them to withdraw the case? Anyway the police is investigating the case. For the details of the case kindly go on the following link:
According to another caregiver Shakul Bhalla (M- 9318431235) who is in constant touch with Sapna (M-9318431235) a family member of Brij Mohan, the family was being stopped by the culprit's family to perform the last rites of the dead man. Now this is just unpardonable and height of lawlessness. No fear of law in these wicked people.
The last rites of the true Covid warrior who had not stopped feeding the dogs even during lockdown was performed today on 25th June 2020.

While the animal lovers are voicing their protest on this inhuman act and are standing next to the family who has lost a member of their family on such a trivial issue. An issue which has been blown out of proportion just because of the apathy and the indifference of the system.
Why can't the govt and the municipal corporation sensitize people about the ABC programme?
Why are they allowing the stray dog population to grow which is becoming unmanageable?
Why should a caregiver feed so many dogs and then face the ire of the local residents?
The ABC programne cannot be successful unless there is people's participation then why aren't steps not being taken to rope in the RWAs, the caregivers and other residents of various residential colonies in the programme.
Why are people still ignorant about dog rules, dog behaviour and caregivers rights and their positive role in helping reduce dog bites and dog population?
When will the myths attached with stray dogs that they are rabid and by touching them one will be infected by rabies be busted?
When will india work towards eradication of canine rabies and not canines?
Brij Mohan may be the first human to have lost his precious life in Delhi but if the Govt, the animal welfare board of India and the various ministries responsible for animal welfare do not come out with positive measures for the dogs of India then I am afraid they are calling for more trouble and more such cases in future.
Wake up Indian administration there is a section of the society called the caregivers who also have voting rights. They are being tortured, harassed, abused and now even being killed. If animal rights does not take your fancy then what about human rights?
Brij Mohan died a death which he didn't deserve. Isn't this human rights violation ? He was doing something which was legal and this is the result he got. Is feeding dogs and taking care of dogs a crime ? If so please amend the animal laws in India. Kill all the street animals as they don't deserve to live in the streets.
Is india any better than China or Pakistan? The only difference is India has two faces. One for the world which tells the world that India has great animal laws and we are moving to make them more robust and strong and the other is the ugly face which only the street animals and their caregivers know. Why this dual face. Either implement the animal laws as they are or scrap them all and kill all the animals.
