Is Delhi worthy of being called the capital of India?

Goons and criminals rule the city, inspite of both the centre and the state govt having their headquarter, the city is no longer safe. Atleast not safe for humans especially those who are law abiding and humane.

On 21st June 2020 a caregiver in Paharganj (Old Delhi) was stabbed to death by the people living in that area. He was killed because he did not stop feeding the dogs.   Is that a crime? As per prevention of cruelty to animals act 1960 a caregiver is given protection by law to feed the dogs. Both the dog and the feeder are protected by law. Where is that protection?

Sapna (M- 9318431235) a member of the same family and a caregiver herself is being threatened by the same people. It seems the main culprit is now in prison but his family members and his wellwishers  are threatening Sapna. They are saying that they will kill her and all the dogs near Ramkrishna Ashram metro station,, if she doesn't stop feeding the dogs. Imagine the kind of lawlessness and mayhem which prevails in Delhi.

The Chief Minister of Delhi has no time. In these eight months he didn't find this petition worthy of his attention. Forget about him even his office didn't find this important.

Everyday there are fights and the dogs are being killed and relocated but the Delhi Govt has no problem with that. This issue has been neglected both by the centre and the state govt for the past five years and now this is the sixth year. And if they continue turrning a blind eye like this, then they are inviting more trouble and more violence in future.

The Environment Minister holds the Broadcasting Ministry as well but he doesn't find the dog issue and dog laws important enough to be shown on the national television. While celebrities like Amitabh Bachhan and Sachin Tendulkar are being used as ambassadors for Swachh Bharat Campaign (clean India campaign)  and Covid 19 respectively then why can't the Govt make any one of the celebrities as brand ambassador for Desi (Indian) Dogs? Why can't they run an awareness campaign regarding ABC programme and dog laws and encourage people to adopt stray dogs and if not adopt then atleast cooperate in getting the dogs sterilized and vaccinated. Just why should one caregiver feed 20 to 30 dogs? Aren't these dogs community dogs then why can't each household of India just spare one chappati for a stray dog? Why should a caregiver suffer financially, emotionally and physically. Is it just his duty to feed a stray? And then be abused, beaten and now also being killed.

Few of the celebrities who have recently been seen creating awareness about dogs especially during Covid 19 lockdown when people were abandoning their dogs were:

1 Madhuri Dixit (Actress) -  her dancing video with her indian pet dog went viral on social media. It's a joy to one's eyes.

2 John Abraham (Actor) - He wrote to the Mumbai Municipal Corporation when they put up hoardings saying dogs spread Covid 19 and got them removed.

3 Shaan (singer) - he especially made a video with his wife and pet dog in it and urged people of India not to abandon their pet dogs as they don't spread Covid 19.

4 Virat Kohli (cricketer)  - He has recently adopted 15 stray dogs.

There are other celebrities like Kapil Sharma (entertainer and actor) who even in his shows request people to be kind to stray dogs. Anoushka Sharma ( actress) is well known for her love for the man's best friend.

There are a plethora of celebrities in India who love dogs and will be more than happy to be their ambassadors then why is'nt the government not doing anything about it?

It seems there is lack of political will in addressing this problem. May be the politicians don't like dogs. Hence, all misleading and anti dog policies. Whether it be rabies awareness in Delhi or strict pet registration policies in Lucknow.

First people were afraid of rabies and now they feel that dogs are spreading Covid19.

What has the govt done to bust such myths.

Till now it was only dogs dying but now it is humans.

Wake up Chief Minister of Delhi

Wake up Environment Minister

Wake up Charman, AWBI

Wake up police Commissioner of Delhi.

The man who has died cannot be brought back to life but atleast save Sapna's life and the dogs of Ram Krishna Ashram metro station.
