The fear of COVID 19 and that dogs are spreading it to humans has made we Indians monsters. We are killing dogs as if it is some dirty, filthy mosquito. In the state of Gujarat a bunch of men beat the dog to death with sticks. And shockingly an old man who may have only few years left on this earth has participated with full vigour in this self proclaimed heroic expedition of his. Nothing can be more shameful than this. In another cruel incident which seems to have happened in West Bengal a butcher slashed a starving dog with his knife (the pic in this post is of the dog). The fault of the dog Kali was that she was trying to grab a loaf of meat from the butcher's shop. No police action has been taken against the culprit. In the south Indian state of Andhra Pradesh a police officer kept beating the dog till his eye popped out. A petition has now been started by animal lovers to get the policeman fired. The officer should not only be fired but also be put behind bars. If a lay man unaware of law indulges in animal cruelty it's still pardonable but when a uniformed man does it he should never be pardoned. Rather his punishment should be more severe than the common man. Policeman are suppose to be protecting the animals as per prevention of cruelty to animals act 1960. Do the Indian policeman know about this very important law?

This incident has taken place in Allahabad, in the state of Uttar Pradesh. A motorcyclist hit a dog and left him to.die on the road. This is nothing new in India. Every hour a dog dies a cruel death on the roads of India. But the sad part is that people are still hitting animals on the roads when the roads are absolutely empty.The dog has been paralyzed from the back.

India has become a hell for dogs and their caregivers. Not a day goes by when a dog is not tortured and a caregiver is not humiliated.
The cases mentioned above are only a handful. Majority of them go unreported. Where dogs die a silent death and their caregivers live in constant fear and helplessness.
Will this mayhem ever stop.........
