The Ghaziabad Apartment Owners Association of Shipra Sun City met the DM of Ghaziabad with the same request of getting the dogs relocated. They have asked the DM to provide space for them where shelters can be built.

Well, this is not a solution at all. The residents just fail to understand that very soon their empty streets will again be occupied with more dogs. The borders are highly porous and soon dogs from Vasundhara, Vaishali and Noida will occupy their streets. And how many shelters will they make and who will take care of the shelter?

And tomorrow many more people will ask for such shelters. There is overpopulation of stray dogs in almost all of India.

And who will take care of the shelters?

The government?

The government hospitals for humans are in a very sorry state. If the government was so rich and India had so much money then probably people in India would not have been so poor.

Let's face the truth:

The Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation has failed in implementing the ABC programme properly. It is their faulty policy which has led to Dog-Man conflict. And that is true for all the states of India. The ABC programme is not being implemented properly anywhere in India. It lacks scientific and systematic approach and people's participation which is a must for its success.

It is the hard work and inflinching committment of the caregivers because of whom some areas in India have a controlled stray dog population but unless the whole of India does it in a systematic manner this problem can never get curtailed.

Noida is one such example. It is the neighbour of Ghaziabad but it has more number of caregivers compared to people in Ghaziabad. Hence, the outlook of people in Noida is slightly better than their neighbours. Noida too has dog haters but the caregivers have worked very hard to give the man's best friend a better and safe life which unfortunately the people of Ghaziabad have failed.

Recently they got around 200 of their Street dogs vaccinated.

They got them vaccinated against parvo, distemper and rabies. They did it with the help of NGOs who are working very hard to make the stray dog life better in Delhi and NCR. You may go to the following link to see the good work the caregivers and NGOs are doing .
