The Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal has won the Delhi elections the second time that too with massive votes. The results were declared on 11th February 2020.

But what has captured the minds and hearts of animal lovers was his decision of not burning crackers for celebrating the victory of their party at their head quarter.

Thank God for such a wonderful decision. This was actually taken to curb air pollution but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise for the dogs.

Dogs hearing capacity is almost 10 times more than human ear. Dogs can hear voices coming from distant places which human ear just fail to catch.

Fire crackers not only pollute the air but also add to noise pollution. And the worst affected are the dogs. On hearing loud sounds of drums, music or crackers bursting they start barking and start running  in panic from here to there.

Diwali is a festival of light which is celebrated in the whole of India with a lot of pomp and show. To celebrate Diwali people usually burn crackers due to which many dogs get lost. Seldom some return to their original location. The caregivers cry for their lost dogs for the rest of their lives. For many dogs and caregivers Diwali becomes a festival of darkness and sorrow.

We humans do everything for our benefit. We are bothered about air pollution because it is affecting us and our kids. .But what we fail to understand is that what is bad for us will also be bad for the animals which cohabit this planet.  And what is bad for them will be bad for us too.

Well the Delhi Chief Minister did not have dogs in his mind when he took this awesome decision of banning crackers but it definitely helped our four legged friends and they are thankful to him for taking this decision.
