A lady who is 80 years old was mentally and emotionally tortured and abused by her own neighbours and RWA members of Princess Park, Sector 86, Faridabad. Faridabad falls in the state of Haryana and is a part of Delhi NCR.
The condition of stray dogs and caregivers is almost the same all over India.
Thanks to our faulty system and lack of political will to help the dogs and the caregivers.
The Haryana Chief Minister is no better than the Delhi Chief Minister. All the chief minister's are the same. No respect for law when it comes to dogs and the caregivers.
This 80 year old lady feeds around 50 stray dogs living in and around her residential complex.
On 12th January a mob comprising of the RWA members and local residents came to bully her and warn her not to feed the dogs of their colony. They told all kinds of nasty things to her. Except physically assaulting her they did everything. There are strict laws which gives protection to senior citizens in India. All those laws were flouted by the goons of that colony.
They did not beat the lady but they hit the dogs with pipes and stones. They told her not to feed the dogs. The lady cried helplessly. Her dogs were beaten right in front of her and she couldn't do anything to help them.
The lady was traumatised and was under a lot of fear. She felt really bad that her dogs could not eat and slept hungry with bruises and injuries.
The lady talks about her harrowing experience to a reporter the very next day.

The RWA of every colony has hired security guards and they all instruct their guards to drive the dogs out. This is exactly what the RWA of Princess park also did.

The RWA and the other residents of Princess park are guilty of two offences:
One threatening and mentally torturing a senior citizen. Will these men be booked for murder if the lady suffers a heart attack or a stroke because of so much trauma she is suffering?
Is it human to go in a mob and abuse her and beat her dogs whom she considers as her children?
Second beating, depriving the dogs of food and getting them removed are all punishable offences.
Shouldn't these men be put behind bars?
Haryana Chief Minister please bring awareness about dog laws in your state.
Bring collaboration between the Sterilization centre and the RWA of every colony.
Please open Sterilization centres if you don't have them.
The old lady probably only feeds the dogs but knows nothing about Sterilization.
May be if she knew where to send the dogs for sterilization then their population could have been easily curtailed.
It ishould be the responsibility of every RWA of every colony in India to get the dogs sterilized and vaccinated. Either themselves or with the help of the caregivers of their area.
