On 3rd day of the new year 2020 two female dogs with their new born pups were dumped by somebody on a lonely and isolated location. The location is in East Delhi and it is almost on the road. It seems the two dogs with their pups have been removed from a colony.

The person who found the dogs late at night is Shakul (M-9136333861) a caregiver who goes to that area to give medicine to a dog who is suffering from distemper.

On 3rd night he saw the two female dogs with their kids for the first time. It's freezing cold in Delhi right now.

Shakul is now looking for a home to get the pups adopted. He fears that they may die on road. Many pups and dogs die by being hit by vehicles on road. And unfortunately the dogs have been dumped on roadside.

Imagine what kind of monsters are inhabiting Delhi who have a heart to relocate the dogs in such a cruel manner.

What is our Delhi Govt doing?

Absolutely tight lipped on the issue of dogs. No matter how much cruelty happens to these voiceless souls but they won't do a thing for them.

Under prevention of cruelty to animals act relocation of stray dogs is an offence but who cares.

Is it just the responsibility of the caregiver to tell people about the laws?

Shouldn't the govt create awareness about this very important law?

And by relocating the two female dogs and her pups how has the problem of overpopulation of dogs lessened?

If they survive they just won't stop reproducing. They will only add to the canine population.

It seems the government not only lacks the magnanimity and kindness but also is devoid of common sense.

It's really unfortunate that even though the municipal corporation has been implementing the ABC programme in Delhi for almost 20 years now but it's awareness and it's impact on canine rabies and dog population has been negligible.

And the situation is getting worse day by day.

The common man of Delhi especially the RWA is neither aware about the programme nor is scared of relocating, removing or even killing a dog.

This is the bitter truth of Delhi the capital city of India.
