Many people are put off by having a Pap Smear due to how invasive and embarrassing it can be. A HPV test tests for abnormal cells in the cervix and has been proven to be a good alternative to a Pap Smear and this can be done in the comfort of your own home by yourself with a simple swab.

The NHS do not provide these tests as a standard alternative in all areas, but I believe it should be as it can save multiple lives, younger people who are worried will be able to test themselves and it would overall save the NHS a lot of money. 

Roll out HPV Home Test Kits from the NHS as an alternative to a Pap Smear.
