Make Former St. Louis Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Scarlett REPAY Mismanaged Money!

The Issue

Although Dr. Keisha Scarlett only served as superintendent of St. Louis Public Schools for one year, during her brief tenure, she completely decimated the district's balance sheet, taking the school district's projected operating budget from a $17 million surplus to a $35 million deficit. A newly-released audit revealed that Dr. Scarlett spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on expenditures such as: pay raises for questionable (out-of-town) new hires, first-class flights, Bath & Body Works products, massages, and Uber Eats. In a district plagued by transportation woes, and where swaths of students are wrestling with poverty, Dr. Scarlett's reckless spending is reprehensible! We the People demand the St. Louis Public Schools board members remedy the situation by exploring all legal avenues available -- and then taking immediate action -- to make Dr. Scarlett REPAY the millions of dollars that she siphoned from SLPS students and squandered for personal gratification -- including criminal prosecution.
