Make First Aid Training Mandatory in Secondary Schools

The Issue

As members of the group Aid Avengers, we have a personal mission to increase awareness about the importance of first aid training among younger generations. We believe that making first aid training mandatory in secondary schools is a crucial step towards achieving this goal.

The knowledge and skills gained from first aid training can be life-saving. The average time for an ambulance to come to someone in Ireland is 19 minutes as there is so many rural areas.

By making first aid training compulsory in secondary schools, we can ensure that our youth are equipped with the knowledge they need to respond effectively in an emergency situation. This not only benefits individuals but also contributes to creating safer communities.

We urge educational authorities and policymakers to recognize the importance of this issue and take immediate action. Please sign this petition if you agree that every student should receive basic first aid training as part of their education.
