Make Every Vote Count - Proportional Representation Now

Make Every Vote Count - Proportional Representation Now
The Issue
MAKE EVERY VOTE COUNT
The UK electoral system is broken.
Every general election under First Past the Post wastes millions of votes, leaving people unrepresented and disillusioned.
In 2024, parties like Reform UK, the Green Party, and the Liberal Democrats received millions of votes between them yet ended up with only a handful of seats.
Meanwhile, parties with concentrated regional support or legacy advantages dominated Parliament despite winning a minority of the total vote.
In 2019, Labour under Jeremy Corbyn received 10,269,051 votes and won just 202 seats. In 2024, under Keir Starmer, the party lost over half a million votes, dropping to 9,708,716 — yet that produced 411 seats. Fewer votes, double the seats.
This is not democracy.
We, the undersigned, call for an immediate commitment to implement Proportional Representation before the next scheduled General Election in 2029.
With the collapse of the Conservative Party, internal divisions within Labour, and the rise of new movements like Jeremy Corbyn's new party, the political map of the UK has changed. There is now strong cross-party support and growing public demand for a fairer voting system that reflects how people actually vote.
No more tactical voting. No more safe seats. No more wasted millions of votes.
We demand fair votes now. We demand Proportional Representation. Before the next General Election scheduled for 2029.
Please sign and share this petition to show the government, Parliament, and all political parties that the time for change has come.
