Make Eppings Church Street One Way with Limited Parking

Make Eppings Church Street One Way with Limited Parking
The Issue
Living as a disabled resident on Church Street in Epping, NH, I find daily tasks daunting due to the prevailing traffic situation. From checking my mail, to walking my dogs, or just working within the confines of my own yard, safety is a constant concern for not only me being a full time wheelchair user but other residents on Church Street. Marie Tasker, also disabled with Lupus, who walks her service dogs, is finding it harder and harder to walk Church Street without fear for her and her dogs safety. In addition to this, the increasing traffic, speeding vehicles negotiating a blind curve and cars parked on both sides of the road, severely obstruct the passage of emergency and delivery vehicles. Our residential road has been transformed into a crowded thoroughfare, putting convenience ahead of our safety and well-being.
Our appeal is simple: Make Church Street a one-way street and limit parking to one side. The rapid traffic often blindsides pedestrians while making a hazardous environment for the several children , elderly, and other disabled residents living on the street. Additionally, the narrowness of the road, combined with cars parked on both sides, hinders potential lifesaving services from ambulances or fire trucks that may need to access our homes in emergencies.
Epping is dense and close-knit, and Church Street needs better road safety regulations to protect its residents. It's a question of safety, of access, and inclusivity.
Please, sign our petition and help to establish a safer Church Street for all its residents. By supporting this proposition, we are ensuring that every member of our community, regardless of their ability or age, feels safer at home. Your signature can be the catalyst for a safer environment in our beloved town. So don't wait - sign the petition today!
