On October 20th, we reached out to the petition organizer directly. Both of the concerns in this petition can be addressed with requests to County agencies. We submitted a request to the County for the requested street lights, and we have suggested that the petition organizer be the community liaison for that request.

As of November 13th, the County's Department of Public Works has reached out to the petition organizer to arrange a site visit per the County's street light request procedure.

Traffic calming is a separate request, and when we contacted the Traffic Engineering Department, they informed us that the entire length of Old Washington Road is already under evaluation for traffic calming.

We weren't able to get a timeline yet, but you can expect to see notices about community meetings to discuss the design of traffic calming on this road once it's further along in the process.
