Today is one of our big commercial holidays and the culmination of the spooky season! I know Halloween might not be a federal holiday or there doesn't to be as a strong as a push for it like for Election Day but it could still be considered a major U.S. holiday. Like all the movies and music that could be considered Halloween and all the dressing up and trick or treating that's popular in the country for today. Sometimes sharing other holidays could help understand more of what this petition is about. Neither are federal holidays. Election Day seems more of a day dedicated to make an important decision towards our community, ranging from our local community like for the schools in the town you live in or for your local police department or fire department to the state level which could affect local education requirements which some required classes are made at the state level. And the decisions at the national level could effect how the rest of the world sees our country and could effect our relations with other countries. Halloween at times seems like a culmination of certain pop culture events like watching particular kinds of movies, like horror or gothic, and dressing up. There's trick or treating for our children. It could be good if parents could spend that time with their kids like it could be good for them to vote on election day. I am more passionate for making election day a federal holiday as it could have decisions that could really effect you and the people around you, regardless if it is at the local, state, or national level. I could see Halloween as a federal holiday due to its cultural significance. Obviously with what this petition is about and what I just said previously, election day is more of a priority in my humble opinion.
