Just figured to share that last night I did send a message to Michigan senator Elissa Slotkin about this, making election day a federal holiday. Just figured since I am one of her constituents, I could try to reach her about it. This morning I did receive an email saying that the message was received by her office and they will get back in a timely matter. I said this was this is mainly what I'm getting to her about now and all and might reach more for the other petitions I have down the line and this is the one I'm focusing on as this is the most successful petition I made. At least I am taking a step towards this petition possibly being successful. One of the people who represents me in Washington and good to reach out and share. I could see something you could try to help is by trying to reach out to at least one of your people in either chamber of Congress. I've seen this petition had reached people from several states that's not Michigan, so those reading this from not Michigan would have different senators and a different representative in the house. I might try to reach out to Senators Gary Peters or my Representative Bill Huizenga next and might update when I do that or when I get responses back. People in Congress I find are good to contact as people in decision making roles as they could submit a bill for consideration and they could be a  necessary vote for when it comes to a final bill. They could possibly be a committee that would review it and get a vote before it could possibly get a final vote on the full House or the full Senate. I always encourage whoever reads these updates to do as much as you can. It could be sharing or getting hold of who represents you. You could look up on google "How to Look up __________" and you could fill in the blank with the senator or the representative in the house you want to get hold of.
