It has been around a year since I made this petition. I feel like we came a long way since then. We currently have 116 signatures, one more than the last time I updated. We should have more than that by now but is something. I started this petition not long after my one about lowering the voting age to 16 but still leave an update for the year mark around the same time. Like the other one, the first couple were from my AP government class. Hello for those I just referred to if you so happen to be reading this. You get the special shout out. I didn't quite do the free promotion for 5 signatures until Election day because I didn't realize I needed to press something. We did get 2 paid promotions, both worth $5 but they are at least something. 2nd one had slightly less views and 1 signature vs the previous's 3. This petition did gain more organically than through promotions. Organically as in searching on the website or possibly on Google. 5 signatures also allowed this to be searched on Change.org and google. I had done the smart image search that tests a couple pictures to see which one works best on gaining signatures. I did the custom link as Change.org states people would be more likely to share. I say we've come so far and we should try everything we can to make this grow even further. I find true change comes with these two words: motivation and passion. Both very related but still like to mention both. I feel you are more likely go with something if it is a passion. You gotta keep motivated, to push yourself to do more you originally thought you can do. I feel like as the petition maker, I gotta be the greatest motivator for everyone who already signed and stay signed. Remember success comes in numbers. I encourage everybody to share with everyone you know, that could be on social media or through email or text, and try to get hold of your national representatives, as they are those who get it considered and passed into law.
