Today is Valentine’s Day. It isn’t exactly a federal holiday but it is still a day for American culture. Election day does seem to make more sense to be a federal holiday as it could impact the future of our country.
I haven’t been the best with keeping up with updates so I will do a quick rundown on dates I missed that could be involved with U.S. politics and entertainment.
February 3: Anthony Russo’s Birthday, of whom is known for directing the 2nd and third Captain America movies and the last two and next two Avengers movies alongside his brother Joe. Also Beau Biden’s Birthday, of whom is the son of the former president and vice president Joe Biden. He was attorney general of Delaware. He died in 2015 due to cancer. Also February 3 is Woodrow Wilson’s death day. He served in the 1910’s and presided over WWI. He is more controversial with his administration’s views on black rights, as he oversaw segregation of many federal agencies.
February 4: Hunter Biden’s Birthday. He’s the younger brother of Beau and is a more controversial figure due to his problems with the law. Also February 4 is Rosa Parks’s birthday. She’s known for her role in the civil rights movement by refusing to give her seat up to a white man,’
February 6: Ronald Regan’s birthday. Regan was the president from 1981 to 1989. Also Elias Disney’s Birthday, of whom was the father of Walt Disney. Rick Astley’s birthday is also this day, known for his song Never Gonna Give You Up. Also the birthday of Axl Rose and Bob Marley. Rose is known as the lead singer of Guns N’ Roses and Marley is considered a pioneer of reggae.
February 7: The Birthday of famous writer Charles Dickens, comedian Chris Rock, and actor James Spader (who played Ultron in Avengers Age of Ultron and Robert California in the Office).
February 9: Birthday of Tom Hiddleston (Loki in the MCU) and William Henry Harrison (the first president to die in office and served the shortest term, with him dying after a month as president).
February 10: Bob Iger’s Birthday. He’s known to be the CEO of Disney. Star Wars, Fox, Lucusfilm, Pixar, and Marvel had become owned by Disney under Iger’s reign.
February 12: Abe Lincoln’s Birthday. He is most famous for being president during the Civil War. Before becoming president, he served in the Illinois state house of representatives and then the U.S. House of Representatives. February 12 is also the birthday of Charles Darwin (the person most well known for the theory of evolution), Josh Brolin (Thanos in the MCU), and Tara Strong (a voice actress who played several animated characters like Raven in Teen Titans, MJ in Ultimate Spider-Man, and Miss Minutes in Loki)
