Today seems like a big day in the U.S. today with all the famous birthdays. Today is Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s (RFK Jr. for short) birthday. His father RFK Sr. was the attorney general under Jr.'s uncle and Sr.'s brother John F. Kennedy and Sr. was assassinated in 1968, the same year Martin Luther King Jr. was. RFK Jr. is currently the lead pick for secretary of health under Trump's second term. He has some controversy for his stance on vaccines, being more anti-vaxx, and his stance on abortion. He seems a little more liberal on it, being more pro-abortion, which goes against what Republicans believe, in which they are more pro-life (anti-abortion). He seems to be towards the center of the political spectrum, having beliefs of both parties. I think of the Kennedies being more democrat. As well wealthy and the wealthy seem to favor some Republican legislation like tax cuts for the rich. How I could tie him into this petition as I could see a day off could help with one's mental health. Work could be stressful and it could be good to have a day to relax. Even it could be stressful to find a way to vote around your work schedule.
Today is also Michelle Obama's birthday. She's known to be the wife of former president Barrack Obama. She served as his first lady in his two terms from January 20, 2009 to January 20, 2017. She was the first black/African-American First Lady just like her husband was the first black president.
Today is also the day former president Rutherford B. Hayes. He died on this day in 1893 in Freemont, Ohio. He served as president from March 4, 1877 to March 4, 1881 (back then inauguration was March 4). He was a Republican.
That's everything relating to politics when it comes to birthdays and death days. Politics are what makes election day election day. We gotta vote for who we want to lead us. First Ladies only become first ladies when we vote their husbands in and the president's cabinet only goes in when the President gets elected and they get appointed and they get confirmed by the Senate (they're more indirectly voted in). Now I have some figures that would go more under entertainment than politics.
Today is the birthday of Betty White. She was born on this day in 1922 in Oak Park, Illinois. Her most famous role is likely Rose Nylund in the Golden Girls. She also played Ellen in Mama's Family, Grammy Norma in the Lorax, and Bitey White in Toy Story 4.
Today is also Jim Carrey's birthday. He was born on this day in 1962 in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada. He had played the titular characters in the Mask (1994), the Truman Show (1998), How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000), and Bruce Almighty (2003). He also played Dr. Robotnik in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise alongside Robotnik's grandfather Gerald Robotnik in the third. He played the Riddler in Batman Forever.
Today is also Maury Province's birthday. He was born on this day in 1939 in Washington D.C. He is well known for his talk show Maury that ran from September 9, 1991 to September 8, 2022. It commonly features men getting paternity tests to see if they are the father of a child. It also does a bit to see if someone is cheating on a significant other through lie detector tests (paternity tests is another way to show cheating for women if they had a child).
