Today is MLK day and Trump's second inauguration as president and JD Vance's inauguration of Vice President. The third Monday of January has been dedicated to the life of MLK and all of his life achievements as a leader of civil rights protests and winner of a Nobel peace prize in 1964. He helped improve racial equality and his legacy definitely has gone on for decades would go on for a while longer. Here's a presentation I made about his family: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/12Fr8IQCUfMn4jpMeJD-aaHmHVXOacziPzBG5pn2AMZY/edit?usp=sharing
8 years ago today Trump had been inaugurated for the first time. Today, he'll be inaugurated for the second time for his nonconsecutive second term. Even if you don't believe he should be president again, the people had spoken back in November. He was the second president to win two nonconsecutive terms, the first was Grover Cleveland in the late 19th century. First time Trump won with both the majority of electoral college votes and the popular vote. I do believe it'll be better if the electoral college was abolished as the electoral college doesn't seem like one person one vote. It seems like Trump has a majority of republicans in both chambers of Congress and in the Supreme court, so we could try to get them to pass a law declaring election day a federal holiday in order to make the United States seem more democratic. Better if we could get more signatures. Before starting this petition, I saw we have 67 signatures. This petition had 898 petition views and 30 petition shares. I had shared a couple times but not all 30 shares came from me. Good if we all shared at least a couple times. We would have at least 67 shares if everyone shared. We had just 2 promotions, one of which was my free promotion for 625 views. Good if everybody did as much as they can to pitch in.
