I've been using Duolingo for over a year now and what was once a comprehensive free language learning resource appears to be gradually transformed into an expensive site. The subtle changes in the access to lesson options and the incremental increase in ads are diluting the learning experience, pushing users towards premium options.

Educational resources such as Duolingo are significant for people worldwide who desire to expand their linguistic knowledge. Duolingo currently boasts around 300 million users worldwide, indicating the sheer scale of the demand for accessible language learning tools. Duolingo must remain committed to its original vision of 'free language education for the world'.

However, the emerging trend of reducing free content and pushing users towards paid versions is concerning for many users who rely on these resources. Implementing an entirely free model provides an equitable learning ground for all users, regardless of their economic background.

We are calling on Duolingo to reconsider their pricing model and ensure that the access to lesson options is not hampered. By making Duolingo's learning resources free for all, we can together foster a global community with free access to language education.
