Download, a popular alternative festival in the UK which sees a large amount of people under the LGBTQ community attend each year, has announced today they will be following EHRC guidance meaning transgender folk will be strongly advised not to use the correct bathrooms that align with their gender identity. This can cause transgender people to be forcibly outed, and questioned, which can be very dangerous as this can threaten their safety, as it can lead to assault and verbal abuse. As a transgender man, I think this decision is absolutely awful and I know many others feel the same. Please consider signing this petition to try and reverse this terrible decision.
