Following an unfortunate incident at my little boy's former nursery, I am urging change. This painful experience we are all going through currently, taught me the importance of safety, and the lack of it in nurseries. Lack of CCTV in these settings is a prominent issue that needs to be promptly addressed.

If CCTV became mandatory in all nursery settings, both indoors and outdoors, children's safety could improve tremendously. Monitoring systems stand to not only deter harmful conduct but also to provide crucial evidence in unfortunate events like my boy's incident.

Services could review footage in the event of any disputes or uncertainties, providing invaluable peace of mind for concerned parents, but also protect staff when needed. There is no doubt about the increased safety, accountability, and transparency that mandatory CCTV cameras would bring. 

We owe it to our children, to protect their lives, and ensure their safety. Join me in urging policy makers to make CCTV mandatory in nursery settings, indoors and outdoors.
