Delta Airlines, Northwest Airlines, and United Airlines all have trading cards that pilots carry to give out to children and adults alike. The goal is simple: collect one card for the entire fleet. To my knowledge, no non-US airline has a trading card system and they are very popular in the US.

British Airways is one of the world's safest and most respected airlines; they are no. 6 in the world by brand value and are no. 6 in the world by countries served. Their trading cards would have great appeal as they have a wide-ranging and interesting fleet that would be fun to collect. They could also have limited edition cards for former fleet members, for example the B747, A318, and Concorde.

Obviously it is BA's decision as a limited company whether or not they should pursue this as a marketing tactic, but I think it would be very beneficial to them and the community.
