The Issue

Only nine states in America make it mandatory for schools to install seat belts in school busses.

In Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama schools are not required to have belts on busses.

Bills to change the law have been introduced multiple times, but schools opposed the requirement.

The National Transportation Safety Board renewd its call for national requirement of seat belts on school busses.

Seat belts save lives.

You make your kids buckle up in the car when you are driving, why would they not buckle up in a school bus with someone else driving?
