The new Beaconsfield Library and Culture Centre is supposed to be designed for all. Accessible and neuroaffirming, and Leed certified, it is intended to include everyone.  However, it has a major design flaw.  It is dangerous for birds.  https://share.google/iApxGxcNzKJPbmQ3k

The current design for the new Culture Centre uses a lot of glass at ground level, near the waterfront, in a park, right on a migration path.  Inevitably this Culture Centre will become a bird trap. Birds will collide with the windows and be injured or die.  Please work with Le Nichior to redesign this proposed Culture Centre.  

We also suggest working with Bird Protection Quebec for a bird safety design.  This would fit with both the environmental and neuroaffirming aspects of the new Library Cultural Centre.  

We would also suggest turning the current library into an animal shelter.  It would make a lovely animal shelter, as it already has different sections and is in a prime area.  We desperately need an upgrade on the tiny dog pound at 303 A Beaconsfield Boulevard behind Herb Linder Annex.
