At my school, each floor has two bathrooms, but the current signs — “girls” and “boys” — aren’t inclusive of non‑binary students. Labels like these can make transgender and non‑binary students feel uncomfortable or unsafe, and some may avoid using the bathroom at school altogether.

As a non‑binary student, I experience harassment every day no matter which bathroom I choose. Changing the labels to something more gender‑inclusive would reduce this kind of harassment and help create a safer environment for students like me.

The goal of this petition is to encourage my school to update the bathroom signs from “girls” and “boys” to more inclusive options, such as “with urinals” and “without urinals.” If enough people sign, it will show the school that I’m not the only one who wants this change.
