Enough is enough. The recent terror attacks in Golders Green — stabbings near a synagogue, and an arson attack on Jewish ambulances just weeks before — show how urgent our campaign has become. The government must implement education about antisemitism in British schools.
Antisemitic bullying in schools and the recent violent attacks are all symptoms of the same hatred. It is no longer enough to keep only treating these symptoms with increased security, without addressing the root causes and wider societal attitudes.
That Jews have to be protected by security guards at every communal event against violent attacks should not, and must not, be accepted as normal in Britain. This emergency facing British Jews needs to be treated as such, and too many people still see antisemitism as a lesser form of hatred.
Education can change this.
