Anaheim has a unique opportunity to be the home of Orange County's first Veterans Cemetery.

The County of Orange is studying the feasibility of locating the OC Veterans Cemetery on a 288-acre, county-owned parcel near the 91 freeway and 241 toll road interchange. This area will be studied in addition to other sites under consideration in the City of Irvine.

Our veterans have sacrificed to protect our freedoms and our way of life. Anaheim has a long tradition of supporting our nation’s military and veterans. It would be a privilege for Anaheim to be home to Orange County's first Veterans Cemetery - a place of hallowed repose where our departed veterans can be honored by the grateful living.

Please join me and Anaheim Hills Community Council in supporting this effort by signing this petition asking the the Orange County Board of Supervisors and my colleagues on the Anaheim City Council to support building the Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Anaheim.
