Good Morning Super Supporters!

Today is a great day for the campaign because I’m off to meet and deliver the petition to decision maker Lil-Lets!

This is a particularly significant meeting because in January 2019 we took action on Lil-Lets and requested that the manufacturer met me. They didn’t respond so I staged a peaceful demonstration outside their head office on the 24th January 2019. I asked to speak to someone, but they declined again. They did however accept the petition box, which at the time had 105,000 signatures.

Since then, I continued to contact them about the campaign, the rising support and the positive steps being taken by other decision makers. After countless requests to meet them in person, they accepted in December 2019!

The campaign has been calling on Lil-Lets to remove plastic from their pads and tampons and to stop the production of their plastic applicators, in both their teen and main range, as a first step to eliminating plastic.

I look forward to delivering the petition and speaking to them in person about the campaign, the unnecessary plastic in their period products and what they can do to bring about change. I will be making other suggestions to how they can make a difference including, listing ingredients, cutting down on excessive packaging and asking many questions.
