Hi Super Supporters!

Happy New Year!! Tomorrow is the first meeting of 2020 as I am off to see decision maker Aldi.

As with all the campaigns decision makers, I’ve been requesting a meeting with the retailer since the petition launched almost 2 years ago. I’m happy that Aldi have accepted this request and invited me to meet them. It’ll be great to meet them and hear what they have to say.

The campaign has been calling on Aldi to remove plastic from their menstrual products and make eco-friendly options available in stores. Aldi also have a range of their own-brand tampons that come with plastic tampon applicators, which I’ve been urging them to remove from production as a first step towards eliminating period plastic.

I look forward to delivering the petition, talking to them about the campaign, the unnecessary plastic in their period products and what they can do to bring about change.

I will keep you updated with what happens and the outcome of the meeting as soon as possible.
