Hi super supporters,
Last week we tweeted and emailed Lil-lets to end period plastic, they have said that their sales only account for a small part of this industry, but it still makes a difference, especially as these products are constantly being manufactured and disposed of! Today let’s take to Facebook and comment on their latest post, which so happens to be their period plastic video: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2347977608564810&id=107968922565701
Example comment:
@lillets.uk Your video encourages people to switch from your plastic applicator tampons to your non-applicator range to reduce their plastic impact, but you’re the ones producing plastic applicators in the first place! Although you have said that your sales only account for a small part of this industry in the UK, it still makes a big difference. These products are having a harmful environmental impact and you can break the plastic cycle by going plastic-free! Menstrual products are an essential, but their plastic content is not, which is why over 106K and me are calling on you to stop manufacturing pointless plastic applicators and end period plastic in your tampons, pads and packaging. www.change.org/plasticfreeperiods #EndPeriodPlastic
Thank you for your support and for taking action, we can make a difference together!
Ella :)
