Treat pets as family, not luggage: Make air travel pet-friendly in India.
Pets are our children, not baggage. Airlines must adopt pet-friendly policies, ensuring safe, comfortable, and certain travel options. Allow pet parents to comfort their pets during flights instead of relegating them under seats. Pets experience anxiety too—it's time we address their needs and make travel compassionate for all. 

As a cat parent, air travel often feels unpredictable and stressful. Whether my pet can travel comfortably depends entirely on the cabin crew’s understanding, which varies greatly. While some staff are compassionate and accommodating, others lack empathy or knowledge about animals' needs. Cats aren’t like dogs—they don’t use pee pads; they need a litter box. Takeoff and landing can be particularly distressing for them, yet there’s little acknowledgment of their anxiety. This lack of consistency and understanding makes every journey an uncertain challenge for both pets and their parents. Maybe train the staff better, have more airlines that allow pet babies, allow us to book their tickets in advance, have consistent rules and just be empathetic.
